The School Nutrition Association of Massachusetts is dedicated to
educating, supporting, and inspiring school nutrition professionals.

Exhibits Committee

The Exhibits committee is responsible for the exhibitions and liasioning with industry partners. It is through their work developing, promoting, selling and implementing the exhibits, that the association is able to offer services and programs to its’ members.

Industry Council

The Industry Council works closely with the exhibits committee to ensure a healthy relationship and open communication between the association and industry through exhibits, sponsorships and corporate membership. The council keeps the association up to date on child nutrition industry issues and opportunities, and acts as a liaison for our corporate members.

Member Relations Committee

The Member Relations Committee works to enhance member benefits and develop effective member recruitment and retention programs. This committee helps members further their careers and personal & growth by providing them with information about programming and initiatives for education, certification and credentialing, scholarships, awards, volunteer and leadership development, and networking opportunities. In addition, this committee works to develop a positive image for the school nutrition profession through the media, trade shows, and events promoting newsworthy accomplishments of members, districts and the association. This committee responds to both positive and negative news, while being proactive in educating the public about current child nutrition issues.

Professional Development Committee

The Professional Development Committee enhances the professional growth of the association's members by providing educational and inspirational sessions at conferences and other association events. This committee helps mold the future of child nutrition professionals by ensuring timely speakers and sessions at conferences, which allow members to accomplish daily operations, meet mandates, and grow both professionally and personally.

Nutrition & Legislative Committee

The Nutrition & Legislative Committee addresses legislative issues at the state and federal level that may impact child nutrition while encouraging the development of positive legislation for members of the association and evaluates, interprets and formulates recommendations relative to initiatives and standards for child nutrition and education programs. 

This committee provides members with information concerning the legislative process, its impact on child nutrition programs, and helps develop proactive initiatives for our members to affect the legislative process. In addition, this committee provides members with up to date information on current nutrition issues, standards and trends that will help them enhance their child nutrition programs and improve the nutritional value of school meals.
